Ascend Spine and Sport is a Sports Chiropractic office serving Holladay and the Salt Lake County surrounding communities. Our team is dedicated to helping you find a solution to whatever ailment or injury may be affecting you or your performance. We specialize in sport injuries and also treat anyone who is invested in improving their own health and well-being.

Dr. Jedidiah Farley

Education and Academics

Dr. Jedidiah Farley is a sports chiropractor that uses chiropractic, dry
needling, acupuncture, physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, regenerative medicine injections, and other manual therapies to treat athletes of all levels and abilities.

He holds multiple undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science and Human Biology. Dr. Farley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Logan University in St. Louis, MO with his doctoral degree in Chiropractic Medicine. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Utah in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics and a PhD in Rehabilitation Science. Dr. Farley is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certified through the NSCA.

Dr. Farley is one of the few Chiropractic Physicians that hold multiple research-based graduate degrees specializing in musculoskeletal injuries, exercise performance, and biomechanics.

Climbing Experience

Dr. Farley discovered rock climbing at a very young age and climbed at a professional level for many years. He has 30+ years of rock climbing experience. Before attaining his doctorate in Chiropractic he worked for many years as the Route Setting Director for Momentum Climbing Gyms. Between route setting for almost two decades and climbing at a high level, Dr. Farley knows the intricacies of climbing performance, movement, and recovery.

He is one of the few rehab professionals who climbs and specializes in the treating and training of rock climbers. Dr. Farley grew up in Utah County and has spent many years climbing all over the state of Utah. Some of his favorite areas to climb include American Fork Canyon, Maple Canyon, and the Red River Gorge. He continues to enjoy climbing and getting out to the crag as much as possible.

Additional Training

Dr. Farley has additional years of doctoral graduate level training from the University of Utah in performance and rehabilitation of the upper extremity, specifically the shoulder, hand, and fingers.  Dr. Farley was a high school and collegiate athlete in track and cross-country running. He was a professional mountain guide for many years in North America and understands the importance of keeping the body in top condition in order to attain a high level of personal performance.

Dr. Farley performs research in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Utah keeping him up to date on current treatment and rehabilitation techniques. He is a published clinical researcher in the field of spinal pain and imaging utilizing musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Farley has training in regenerative medicine injections and specializes in performing these for sport related injuries. He has clinical experience working with professional tri-athletes, rock climbers, swimmers, ultra-runners, and weekend warriors. Dr. Farley is dedicated and takes pride in helping others to attain their highest level of performance and in getting patients back to performing.
