What is RMR?
RMR is the number of calories your body burns at complete rest to maintain vital functions such as breathing, circulation, and organ function. This accounts for approximately 60-70% of your total daily caloric expenditure.
The Test
Using an indirect calorimetry device, we measure oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide exhalation to calculate a more accurate daily calorie goal based on the energy your body uses

We will provide an order for you to complete at a local lab. Once the results are sent to us, they will be reviewed by Dr. Farley, and we will schedule a time to go over the findings with you in the office.
VO2 Max Test
Assess your aerobic capacity and cardiovascular fitness level
What is VO2 Max?
This is the maximum rate at which your body consumes oxygen during intense exercise. It is the gold standard for measuring cardiovascular fitness; a higher VO2 max indicates a greater capacity for aerobic energy production.
The Test
Performed using indirect calorimetry, this test measures oxygen, carbon dioxide, and ventilation rates. Please be prepared for maximum effort on a bike or treadmill.
